I know and have heard probably every Lincoln stereotype there is. One of them is that Lincoln only makes athletes and not really people who succeed in the academic department.
When I first asked my parents to enroll me at Lincoln, it was because my brother was going to be a senior and this would've been our last year being together before he went off to college. So, now that I'm here, for my 4 years I have here, I pledge to help raise this schools test scores and get involved in my more extracurricular activies. I want to be above these stereotypes and show that not only does Lincoln make only atheles, hoodlums or "hoodrats", but can also make achievers and over-achievers. I don't want to be the person that is always around the negative crowd of students who don't want to go to class or always fail classes. We should all make an effort to show that Lincoln isn't full of under-achievers.
